"I do not need to use 1st gear at all so this is an improvement and the pick up is much better.
With a 63 year old carburetor prior to the installation it had its hick ups and the vehicle used to ‘hunt’ badly. Post installation the flat spots have virtually disappeared and the ‘hunting’ has also virtually disappeared. Also, before the installation the vehicle used to backfire on a long downhill stretch and now this has stopped.

"I have a 2009 Ford Mondeo 2.0 tdci estate and since having 2 cells fitted on 22/06/2011 I have definitely noticed an improvement in mpg and torque. My average town mpg has gone from 38.9 to 45.4 and on a recent run from Paignton to Birmingham fully loaded with my air con on all the way my mpg went from 53 to 62.4!!! My tank range is now showing 650 miles around town (up from 500) and 890 on a long run (up from 740) which will save me around £1000 per year!!!. The car is also running better than ever. If you are considering having these cells fitted my advice would be to do it my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner."
